State Resources
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a resource to give home heating/energy assistance to low-income homes. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has a resource page below to get you started with your application.
Pennsylvania also has an impressive clearing house of all kinds of resources available to you on a state level. The program, 2-1-1, has a free app that can be downloaded on your Android or Apple smartphone. In addition you can dial 2-1-1, or visit the website by clicking the button below. Click on the icon for the type of assistance you're looking for.
Domestic ViolenceWe hope and pray that neither you nor your children are experiencing violence or abuse. You are made in the image of God, and you deserve safety and dignity! If you are being hurt, it is NOT your fault, EVER! Nothing you do or say can ever justify abuse against you or your kids. You need to get safe first, and then you can work on the larger issues. The Blackburn Center in Greensburg has a mission of ending domestic violence, once and for all. They are passionate about being your advocate as you journey toward a safer and more peaceful life. Before You Go
The passing of a loved one is filled with enough pain by itself, but all of the decisions and arrangements that must be made add a terrible extra weight. It’s so much better to plan ahead and set things in place. One of our church members has interviewed families impacted by loss, and assembled many helpful resources to lighten the burden on spouses and families.
